Partner Spotlight: CenCal Health
We’re excited to spotlight CenCal Health, one of SLOCOE’s key partners in supporting the health and well-being of our students and families. CenCal Health is the local nonprofit, community-based health plan that administers Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid program) for all eligible residents in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. Everyone who qualifies for Medi-Cal in these counties is automatically enrolled with CenCal Health.
SLOCOE and CenCal share a fundamental commitment to promoting and improving student health and well-being. Recognizing the critical link between student health and academic success, this partnership is designed to equip our communities with the information needed to connect students and families with essential behavioral and mental health services. CenCal’s devotion to ensuring our community has access to high-quality health services, education, and outreach is vital as we work together to support the whole child, ensuring every student has the tools they need to thrive.
