ABOUT THE CYBHI

Working Together to Meet Kids Where They Are

The California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) is a statewide effort aimed at transforming the youth mental health system in California. It focuses on improving access to mental and behavioral health services for children, youth, and young adults by integrating care into schools, expanding digital services, and enhancing workforce development.

At the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education, the CYBHI plays a crucial role in helping us strengthen SLO County’s mental and behavioral health system, ensuring young people get timely and effective support for their well-being so they can thrive in school and beyond.

Supporting Student Mental Health & Wellness In Our Schools

The CYBHI Fee Schedule is a first-of-its-kind effort to ensure that all students can access mental and behavioral health resources in schools. It unlocks additional funding, making it easier for students to get outpatient mental health and substance use disorder support at no out-of-pocket cost.
